Maharashtra MCA Common Entrance Test

Government of Maharashtra understands the importance of technical education and the present demand of the same in the corporate world.

To give the students of the state a better exposure to the job market the Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education introduces an entrance test which is named as Maharashtra MCA Common Entrance test. The successful candidate of this test gets the opportunity to get enrolled in the three year postgraduate program of Government, aided or private colleges and universities. The competition is quite high and the results are looked upon as good achievement. The MCA or Master of Computer Application program gives fair amount of Knowledge which is much beneficial to the growing industry of IT thus making a good future for the aspiring candidates.

The eligibility criteria of the candidates have been fixed beforehand and no deviation is entertained to that. The first criterion is that the examination is mainly for Indian citizen; secondly the eligible candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with Mathematics in 10+2 or graduation level, or statistics in graduation level. Candidates with B. SC or BCA can also appear for this examination. All candidates who are in the final year of their examination can appear the entrance test mentioning the same in the application form. As per the age limit is concerned, there is no limit for this particular entrance examination. One must also be aware of the type of question and examination pattern to be successful in it. Usually the entrance test is broadly divided into two parts, one is general aptitude and the other one is Computer aptitude. Both these papers include questions on Quantitative and Logical Reasoning, Mathematics, English Comprehension, Vocabulary and Verbal ability. Other than this there are questions on data Interpretation, computer basics, computer language, its architecture and the operating system. The questions are usually objective type and the candidate needs to answer the same within bounded time frame.

The application form may be collected by two ways, through online measures or by post. In case of online procedure, the candidate needs to enter the website, download the form, fill up the requisite details and submit the same with a demand draft of requested amount. But in case of application form by post the candidate needs to send a request letter to the institute office and then fill the details and submit the form in the same procedure mentioned above. The application form submission should be done through some renowned courier company so that receive of the same gets assured. The date of the examination usually falls on the 1st week of March and the results are declared on the 1st week of April.
